About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual for a Automation Engineering Internship with our R D Protection Systems department in Pullman, WA. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least two years of technical coursework completed.
• Knowledge of power systems.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts.
• Experience with programming and script files.
• Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays and automation controllers.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Knowledge of ethernet connections.

Responsibilities

• Providing Technical support for SEL staff & customers.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.
• Performing testing on new and existing technology.
• Documenting and communicating test results.
