About The Position

B. Braun Medical Inc., a leader in infusion therapy and pain management, develops, manufactures, and markets innovative medical products and services to the healthcare industry. This position will be responsible for providing control system engineering support to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve Automation and Controls systems for the Automated Equipment in a dynamic GMP regulated environment, requiring minimal downtime of the machinery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8-10 years related experience required.
• Strong background in Automation and Control systems including Rockwell Plant PAX, Pharma suite, FT Batch, Studio 5000, Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, Siemens or GE PLCs, Wonderware In-Touch and In-Batch, HMIs.
• Proficiency in using personal computers and software such as MS Excel and Word.
• Troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze, investigate and help solve technical issues.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Vision Systems, Robotics, Ethernet IP and DeviceNet communication protocols, VFDs, and Motion Controls Systems.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Provide control system engineering support to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve Automation and Controls systems.
• Respond quickly to troubleshoot machinery to sustain uptime during unscheduled downtime.
• Identify improvements and perform PLC programming (modifications/configuration).
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for automation and control systems.
• Participate in project implementation as a technical Subject Matter Expert.
• Assist with the completion of engineering projects, reviewing project plans, proposals, and objectives.
• Assign responsibilities and build schedules based on project specifications.
• Design and conduct tests to determine project progress and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
