COMPENSATION: Competitive salary will be based on degree and credit hours taught. Opportunities exist for part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach college-level classes (potential for on-campus and/or online) in the following areas: Operations Management Electronics Geographic Information Systems Engineering Tech Unmanned Aerial Systems Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing Energy Services and Renewable Technician Industrial Automation and Robotics Mechanical Maintenance Instrumentation and Control Nuclear Power Petroleum Production Electric Power Electric Transmission Systems Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadline and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or the Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies.
Requirements
- Degree requirements will vary by discipline
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., electronic Calendar and E-mail, and strong Internet familiarity.
Nice To Haves
- College teaching experience.
- Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System
- Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
