We are seeking a Automation Developer (SME) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize automation solutions in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will provide advanced technical expertise in developing custom automation scripts, pipelines, and frameworks to support modernization initiatives across FAA infrastructure, applications, and mission-critical systems. As an SME, you will lead technical development efforts, collaborate with engineers and architects, and ensure automation solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with federal and FAA standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs. In this position, you will: Design, develop, and implement custom automation solutions for systems and processes. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation into development and operations workflows. Create and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and configuration scripts. Collaborate with architects, system engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure integration of automation tools. Provide SME-level guidance on automation tools, languages, and frameworks to program teams. Develop automated testing frameworks for performance, scalability, and compliance validation. Ensure automation solutions align with FAA standards, federal requirements (NIST, RMF, FedRAMP), and Zero Trust principles. Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for automation scripts and pipelines. Mentor developers and engineers in automation best practices, coding standards, and secure development.
