We are currently seeking an Automation Coordinator to join our team at our Grand Rapids, Ohio location. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. This role will be on site at the Corteva location.

Requirements

  • You have your High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with a solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Experience programming PLC ladder logic and working with industrial automation systems.
  • Electrical experience with systems ranging from 24V DC to 480V three‑phase AC.
  • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn company‑specific applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including working at heights, in varied environmental conditions, lifting to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility to work on‑call, overtime, and weekends during peak periods to meet operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HMI programming using Allen‑Bradley FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley automation control systems.
  • Basic IT support experience, including setup and troubleshooting of computers and peripherals.
  • Demonstrated willingness to pursue additional training and continuously develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the Process Control Network, PLC automation systems, and programming standards at the Grand Rapids location.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and maintain Allen‑Bradley PLCs using RS Logix 500/5000; ensure integrity of PLC servers and processors.
  • Implement and support local process control strategies, including operator training and safety leadership.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.
  • Support new equipment development, installation, and upgrades across the plant.
  • Perform preventive maintenance at plants, facility, and field equipment.
  • Lead or support maintenance projects, programs, and reliability initiatives.
  • Estimate labor and equipment costs; maintain accurate maintenance, inventory, and repair records.
  • Serve as site IT support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
