About The Position

As an Automation & Controls Supervisor with Greenheck Group, you will lead efforts to improve equipment availability and reliability by using root cause analysis and applicable predictive technologies. Develop and implement equipment training throughout the organization. Support acquisition and maintenance of highly technical equipment company wide. Foster cooperation between Maintenance and Operations through implementation of Total Productive Maintenance.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in maintenance required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant leadership experience required.
  • 2 Year / associate degree in industrial technology or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in electromechanical technology, automation engineering technology, electronics, automation, or a related field of study preferred.
  • Awareness and understanding of various electrical hazards and mitigation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in relation to industrial manufacturing.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Light engineering.
  • Experience leading a group of highly trained professionals and exhibit exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial controls, components and various automated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Automation & Control Technicians on all 3 shifts.
  • Expand use of root cause analysis and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Utilize equipment history and advanced evaluation methodologies to diagnose reoccurring problems and breakdowns requiring a higher level of technical diagnosis.
  • Develop, conduct, and coordinate equipment training for technicians, maintenance mechanics, and machine operators.
  • Implement a 'train the trainer' approach to maximize knowledge transfer when new machines or technologies are installed.
  • Provide leadership and standardization of best practices in the execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activity company wide.
  • Actively participate and coordinate TPM pit stops, and equipment strategies as needed for new and existing equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance of high-level electronic equipment and controls.
  • Prioritize electronic maintenance and repair projects, delegating assignments to the Electronic Technicians and answering related questions.
  • Assure technician workmanship meets corporate quality standards.
  • Conduct routine audits of completed work orders and assure work standards are upheld, and documentation is thorough and accurate.
  • Assist maintenance supervisors and planners in the development of PM work orders and job plans for highly technical assets.
  • Stay informed of new technological developments and implement as required.
  • Proactively support continuous improvement activities.
  • Independently manage and execute multiple complex automation projects.
  • Analyze equipment history data to identify and mitigate negative trends with equipment availability.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of SAP functionality and how it relates to the maintenance department.
  • Ensure safety practices are executed, including use of protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain work areas to meet or exceed company housekeeping and safety standards.
