Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years industry experience
  • Solid understanding of PLC programming concepts and experience with Rockwell Automation software (RSLogix, Studio 5000, CCW)
  • Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems
  • Possess familiarity and ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (up to 60% travel locally with occasional overnight stays)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in SCADA and HMI design and configuration is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Rockwell Automation software (Allen-Bradley) including RS Logix, Studio Logix and Connected Components Workbench
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in accordance with company standards
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop control system architectures and specifications
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
  • Assist in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system design and configuration as needed including FactoryTalk, Ignition, and ICONICS platforms
  • Provide technical support to clients and resolve any issues related to automation systems
  • Participate in on-site commissioning, start-up, and training activities
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and control systems
  • Perform troubleshooting of controls systems, network systems, SCADA systems, and other site specific problems
  • Willingness to train less experienced engineers
