About The Position

Join our team as an Automation Controls Co-op. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Automation Controls Co-op to join our team. This is a technical co-op. The co-op performs assignments which have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a college student enrolled in a four-year electrical engineering or computer science engineering program at an ABET accredited college or university

Nice To Haves

• Previous co-op experience preferred
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming a plus

Responsibilities

• Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client established safety standards when appropriate.
• Acts in a support role to the project engineer or technical lead. Assigned small tasks which are checked upon completion and before moving on to the next task.
• Works with more experienced project team members to set up equipment (hardware and software).
• Test and install new and upgraded software modules.
• Follow company standards for design, coding and testing of software modules.
• Identify and use appropriate tool for each application.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Quality System.
