About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Automation Assembly Operator include the following: Robotic grippers Rotary units Linear actuator Basic drilling/milling at machines for modification of components. Assemble & modify product fixtures. Support day to day production activities to help meet customer product demand. Inspect, test, trouble shoot and diagnose products or mechanical systems. Read blueprints to diagnose and make repairs including but not limited to exploded views, follow prints to assembly, read tolerances Maintain clean and orderly workstation through SCHUNK 5S program. Follow all SCHUNK production safety rules and policies. Participate in the SCHUNK Quality Improvement Program. Perform other duties or projects when requested by SCHUNK management. Requirements Qualifications for Automation Assembly Operator: Understanding of the system engineering process as it relates to use and service of SCHUNK products. Exceptional technical problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail. Must work with minimum supervision. Ability to develop an understanding of the component manufacturing and sales industry and SCHUNK product lines. Education and/or Experience for Automation Assembly: A high school diploma is required. Prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in assembly of components in the manufacturing sector. Understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals. Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications High attention to detail Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly technical drawings and specifications. Ability to trouble-shoot in the field and communicate with cross-functional team to resolve problems.
