About The Position

Are PLC logic changes, backups, and hardware/software upgrades part of your daily toolkit? Does a role that blends hands-on repair, vendor coordination, training, and up to 50% travel sound like a great fit? Impact you’ll make Keep diverse production and processing equipment running with minimal downtime while also supporting building and facility upkeep. Target a 98% uptime across sites by troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing machinery. Serve as a key conduit of information to the Site Manager, Division Manufacturing Manager, and Operations Managers when risks to operations arise. Core responsibilities Preventive maintenance: design, initiate, and maintain a cost-effective PM program. Inventory: conduct monthly selective counts; verify parts and supplies across multiple plants; manage critical spares. Procurement: order parts and consumables; monitor warranties and service guarantees and alert stakeholders before expiration. Vendors: plan and oversee contractor work and equipment installations. On-site support: assist with machinery installations; troubleshoot issues during site visits; assist maintenance techs with equipment work orders. Training: mentor local Mechanical Techs; provide oversight and training for new operators. Standards: uphold company policies, procedures, safety initiatives, and housekeeping best practices. Documentation: contribute to SOP development and maintain system backups. PLC and automation Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems; execute program and logic modifications. Perform hardware and software upgrades and maintain current backups. Manage spare-parts inventory for controls and related systems. Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, MicroLogix, and Siemens Step 7 is advantageous. Travel Up to 50% travel supporting multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree (required).
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with strong electrical troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on expertise in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
  • Computer and data-entry proficiency.
  • Language: interpret technical documents and regulations; produce reports and procedures; present effectively to internal and external groups.
  • Math: apply probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry; work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Reasoning: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make sound conclusions; interpret complex technical instructions.
  • Technical: translate equipment design/capability into efficient operations; advanced electrical and mechanical skill set.
