As an Automated-Testing Systems Engineer, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This role can be located in either Morrisville, North Carolina or Fairfax, Virginia. Compensation varies on location. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

  • Create the automated testing environment and scripts.
  • Work with the various systems/software elements to verify drivers.
  • Onboard the SEIT and SW teams with Gherkin style and Zephyr.
  • Function with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure systems/software standards are met.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance at the time of application.
  • Must be willing/able to submit for and successfully pass a polygraph.
  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of professional experience, Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of professional experience, or PhD in a STEM field with 1 year of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.).
  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience, Master's degree in a STEM field with 6 years of professional experience, or PhD in a STEM field with 4 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.).
  • Experience with Linux Command line.
  • Experience with Python coding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Favorably adjudicated CI or FS polygraph.
  • Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies.
  • Experience with requirements verification.
  • Experience with Gherkin.
  • Experience with Jira and Zephyr.
