About The Position

This role supports the Senior Project Manager in executing key projects within the Global Engineering & Automation portfolio. The Project Manager develops project plans, manages tasks and timelines, addresses risks and issues, and ensures clear communication with stakeholders. As part of the Project Management team, this role helps strengthen project management best practices and supports a rapidly growing division. The position is essential to delivering internal and external initiatives and promoting a culture of improvement and innovation. This is an onsite role in our Mt Juliet TN facility, with travel up to 30%.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within engineering or automation environments
  • Experience managing full machine‑build projects from initial concept through installation and commissioning
  • Background in system integration involving robotics, automation, conveyance systems, machine vision, AI, and mobile robotics
  • Proven success leading high‑visibility R&D initiatives, strategic machine development, and OPEX/CAPEX projects
  • Experience overseeing project budgets ranging from $500K to $2.5M
  • Hands‑on experience managing field installations and on‑site equipment commissioning
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with end‑users and contractors in a commercial or customer‑facing capacity
  • Strong communication skills, with regular experience presenting to and engaging with executive leadership
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and implementing business process changes
  • 3+ years of experience using project management software; Asana proficiency preferred
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented, with strong follow‑through and accountability

  • 3+ years of training or experience in a technical, engineering, or science‑related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of engineering, fabrication, assembly, and device‑automation projects, including production, R&D, strategic initiatives, and CAPEX/OPEX efforts
  • Lead end‑to‑end project delivery—planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout—ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope requirements are consistently met
  • Apply project management best practices to balance scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality while driving process improvements and business transformation
  • Track and report key project metrics, milestones, dependencies, compliance requirements, and overall status to stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify project risks, develop and implement mitigation plans, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear, transparent, and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and motivate cross‑functional teams across Global Engineering & Automation and broader organizational groups to achieve project objectives and business value
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration across multiple sites and functional areas
  • Build an understanding of the technical issues and challenges associated with each project to support effective decision‑making
  • Operate with minimal supervision while acting as a project leader and strategic partner to senior leadership
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Fixed Asset teams to accurately classify and capture expenses for CAPEX projects
