Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a highly safe, reliable, and motivated CDL Rear Load Garbage Route Driver to join their team in Hermiston, OR. This position operates an Automated Side Load Garbage Truck, providing essential waste collection services to local communities. Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (required)
  • Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes
  • Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Prior waste or refuse experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a CDL truck on designated routes to collect solid waste
  • Review and follow daily routes using a route tablet
  • Service all customers listed on the route or as assigned by dispatch
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance (fluids, tires, safety equipment)
  • Operate hydraulic controls to collect and dispose of refuse at designated facilities
  • Perform physical work including loading and unloading, at times without helpers
  • Maintain courteous, professional interactions with customers
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
