About The Position

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo's Internship Program offers challenging, skill-building assignments, mentoring and coaching from industry experts, Launch & Learns and other learning opportunities, a collaborative team-based work environment, networking and social events, and a final presentation to business leaders. Qorvo's Automated Process Control (APC) Internships are offered in our Global Operations business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering / Science, or related fields
  • Background in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry/Physics, or Data Science
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Programming skills in Python, R, SQL, Apache Spark or other languages
  • Strong data analysis skills using visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, JMP, Plotly, Matlab)
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of version control systems like doccenter or git

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with semiconductor wafer processing
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Ability and willingness to work in cross functional engineering teams
  • Project multi-tasking, working with multiple engineering customers and mentors
  • Using various analytical techniques including predictive modelling to improve process control
  • Analyzing data to optimize factory performance, increase yields, and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish control plans to optimize equipment and process performance
