Jabil in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an Automated Inspection Programmer. This position is for 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-630am (time can be a little flexible). How will you make an impact? As an Automated Inspection Programmer, you will be programming, troubleshooting, training, scheduling, prioritizing, planning, metric reporting and driving continuous improvement with regards to AOI and AXI inspection equipment. You will also use Automated Inspection computerized software to provide highly skilled equipment programming and equipment support for production. Finally, you will monitor, resolve, and maintain systemic programming-related issues. What will you do?

Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Associates Degree OR technical school certificate OR equivalent is required.
  • Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience supporting, programming and troubleshooting Automated Inspection equipment, such as Automated Optical Inspection and/or Automated X-ray Inspection equipment is required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, manufacturer’s drawings and component specifications.
  • May be required to work overtime as well as provide off-shift support by phone, computer or return to plant.

Nice To Haves

  • CAD Software experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine program back-up.
  • Maintain and adjust programs for all automated inspection machines.
  • Report data to Engineering and Manufacturing for machine inspection programs.
  • Train equipment operators and repair station operators on all automated inspection equipment.
  • Supports resolving program related issues including assisting off shift Machine Support.
  • Monitor and maintain the operation of automated inspection equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machine-related issues.
  • Perform calibrations and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain spare parts database, maintains stock and orders spare parts.
  • Assist in line move qualification process.
  • Cross train with all other imaging technicians, including programming best practices, hardware maintenance and troubleshooting best practices.
  • Assist, investigate, and create closed loop feedback from upstream and downstream imaging equipment.
  • Attend daily team meetings to proactively resolve program-related problems and drive corrective action.
  • Provide support in the evaluation of new equipment and programming tools and assists in the preparation of proposals for equipment purchases.
  • Edit, debug, and optimize inspection programs.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
