Day In The Life: As an ADU pharmacy technician, you will work to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance are met for our patients while working in various pharmacy workstations. Primary focus on Omnicell refills and audits, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, partnering with nursing staff and leadership on proper use of the Omnicell machine, and coordinating stock rotations. You will be utilizing the company vehicle to travel to our nursing facilities to audit the Omnicell machines and perform restocks. Ability to travel is required. Additional tasks and responsibilities include: Partnering with function supervisor to coordinate workflow for assigned areas that prepare and process medications Gain knowledge on and exercise all backend operations including packaging and dispensing of medication when needed Rotating and working in various assigned pharmacy workstations including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekits, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, Machine Packaging Receiving product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely Performing physical inventories of medication Traveling to nursing facilities to perform audits and restocks on the Omnicell machines The Team: Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings. Although Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public, you’ll work amongst great colleagues in a supportive environment aligned with the company’s mission, allowing our customers to focus on giving their patients the best care.

Requirements

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • Prior experience in Omnicell/Pyxis
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • PTCB National Certification
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
