This role requires working as a cohesive team, identifying problems, and recommending improvements to provide quality, on-time products to customers. The operator will run automated machinery and robotic equipment, performing set-up, changeover, and troubleshooting as required, with duties varying based on the assigned automated cell.

Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
Good general ability with use of computer touch screens and written documents.
Basic math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting, especially technical or robotic experience.

Responsibilities

Follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
Consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals.
Start up, maintain, changeover, and shut-down all elements of the work center, excluding tool and die changes.
Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) duties, as assigned, including tasks to clean, inspect, and lubricate the equipment and work area, referring to work center specific work instructions for guidance.
Troubleshoot automation technology, make minor adjustments, unjam/reset minor robot issues using teach pendant, and assist in root cause analysis with team.
Perform quality checks on the finished jobs as needed.
Determine and report product quality issues to appropriate parties.
Load and unload products from and to pallets and totes.
Provide on-the-job training to others in the department when needed.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Always maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation areas.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Targeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labor).
Communicate effectively with supervisors, group leads and business unit managers.
Creating and continually improving upon a culture of teamwork, accountability, and trust by modeling expectations and providing positive feedback to drive desired behaviors.
Documenting and submitting performance reporting as required.
Gaining knowledge and keeping up to date on safety and quality regulatory notices.
Responsible for maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures.
Performing other duties, as assigned.
