About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to join a specialized reference laboratory focused on autoimmune disease testing, located on the innovative Anschutz medical campus. As part of the Exsera BioLabs team, you will directly contribute to patient care by performing autoimmunity testing for diagnostic and clinical research purposes. The position is essential to generating accurate, high-quality results and supports Exsera’s mission to advance patient health within a collaborative and growing laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Principal Investigators, Medical Directors, and clinical teams to support research and ensure accurate, timely diagnostic testing for autoimmune disorders.
  • Execute high-complexity assays (ELISA, immunofluorescence, multiplex platforms) and research experiments following SOPs, CLIA guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Handle pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, including specimen collection, preparation, documentation, and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and organize the lab for daily activities—stocking materials, ensuring equipment readiness, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Assist in validation and interpret test results, enter data accurately into LIMS and EMR systems, and maintain logs and records.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives; ensure adherence to laws, rules, and organizational standards.
  • Support and train junior team members; independently develop and implement new or modified laboratory techniques and solutions.
