About The Position

Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service. Overview We are seeking a motivated individual with leadership and technical experience to join our team as an Autoclave Supervisor . In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Autoclave team that operates and help to maintain the autoclave machines and ensuring quality, safety and efficiency are consistently met. Job duties include managing cure schedule , ensuring proper PMs are in place and schedule d , support management of spare part inventory , FMDS metric report ing , monitoring workflow and compliance to requirements, resource management to meet production demand, and developing team to enhance skill levels. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to work well under pressure, a deep understanding of autoclave operations , demonstration of role model behavior , and high attention to detail and record maintenance.

Requirements

  • Flexibility to support with overtime and weekend work
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3years of hands-on composite manufacturing experience or autoclave experience
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or lead experience
  • Familiarity with autoclave operations, including loading/unloading, process parameter adjustment, and monitoring.
  • Basic understanding of composite materials and their curing requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and follow written instructions.
  • Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to become certified to wear a respirator .
  • Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials .

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (4+ years of machine operation and management)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of composite parts into the autoclave, ensuring proper positioning and securing for safe curing.
  • Monitor and record autoclave readings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure proper curing conditions are maintained .
