Requirements

  • BS degree.
  • Fluency in AutoCAD; skilled at interpreting architectural, structural, and process drawings.
  • Track record solving complex technical problems spanning multiple technologies; able to advise and troubleshoot.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams; strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and elevate team performance and engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Occasional travel (typically <10%).
  • Comfort making independent, well-reasoned decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Create structural shop drawings and detailed rebar layouts that meet specifications, applicable codes/standards, and reliability requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and resolve design or installation constraints.
  • Prepare/review plans and drawings; execute detailed drafting work.
  • Assist with material takeoffs and cost estimates; present pricing.
  • Contribute to civil engineering design tasks as needed.
  • Maintain organized engineering records and project files.
  • Draft and share project descriptions, schedules, and milestones.
  • Analyze product design, customer needs, and performance standards; define project specifications.
  • Evaluate contractor bids, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate technical work via meetings and proactive communication.
