About The Position

Join a dynamic electrical engineering consulting and design firm as a full-time AutoCAD Drafter or Designer. This role is based in our Phoenix, Arizona office and offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including street lighting, electrical build plans for commercial and industrial projects, water and wastewater treatment facilities, solar/PV installations, and more. Work Environment This position primarily requires in-office work, with a flexible hybrid schedule to accommodate personal needs. The team comprises four engineers and two construction professionals, fostering a collaborative environment. Requirements

5+ years of experience in CAD drafting at an engineering consulting firm.
Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drafting.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AutoCAD electrical, schematic design, and NEC standards.
Ability to work on multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
Capability to create and utilize title blocks and symbols.
Knowledge of proper CAD etiquette including text centering and masking.

Responsibilities

Utilize AutoCAD concepts for drafting and design.
Work with Xrefs, viewports layouts, and plan views.
Rotate base files and insert/link Excel spreadsheets.
Create dynamic blocks from scratch including title blocks and symbols.
Draft architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical plan layouts.
Conduct backchecking and quality control.
Plot and create PDFs.
Adhere to CAD etiquette, ensuring organized and aesthetically pleasing drawing layouts.
