About The Position

The Delivery Driver/Warehouse position at Pomona Truck & Auto Supply involves delivering truck and trailer parts while also assisting in warehouse operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license for 5+ years with a clean driving record.
  • Must meet insurance underwriting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe, and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for picking up merchandise and invoices from warehouse/vendors.
  • Delivers merchandise to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices and may be required to collect payment on delivery.
  • Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
  • Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.
  • Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.
  • Returns credit merchandise with appropriate paperwork and informs management of delivery.
  • Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times.
  • Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting, carrying cartons, and placing them on appropriate shelves.
  • Reports overstock occurrences to management immediately.
  • Responsible for filling delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Provides customer with receipt and/or credit form for merchandise to be picked up.
  • Responsible for stocking shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Compares merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
  • Responsible for receiving, opening, unpacking and issuing sales floor merchandise.
  • Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.
  • Packs customer purchases in bags or cartons for delivery.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Understands per the request of management, the employee may be required to work other positions within the department.
