About The Position

Service Technician Location: Paretti Mazda Position Summary Paretti Mazda is seeking a dependable and skilled Service Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, safety, and the overall reputation of the Paretti brand. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works efficiently, and contributes positively to a team-oriented, customer-first environment. Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using visual inspections and diagnostic equipment Perform repairs and replacements on vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, and cooling systems Use computer diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues accurately Conduct test drives before and after repairs to ensure proper operation Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow dealership procedures, safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to Service Advisors and management Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities Strong mechanical and technical aptitude Ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems efficiently Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and repair software Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and work orders Time-management skills with the ability to meet productivity standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous automotive technician experience preferred ASE certifications preferred but not required Mazda certification a plus (training provided) Valid driver’s license required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach as required to perform repairs Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, noisy shop environment Benefits Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holidays Employee discounts on vehicle purchases and services Ongoing training and certification opportunities Why Paretti Paretti Family of Dealerships operates sales and service centers throughout Baton Rouge, Covington, and Metairie, Louisiana.   • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
