About The Position

The Auto Parts Store Delivery Driver will primarily determine the priority of deliveries, receive and review delivery orders for completeness, and maintain a clean driving record while adhering to company policy. Deliveries will primarily focus on automotive replacement parts and may include the delivery of heavy-duty parts, automotive and industrial paint, and body shop supplies and equipment from Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts retail store locations. Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI), employ over 1,400 employees across approximately 220 locations in twelve states, operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint, and heavy-duty parts business. The company celebrated 100 years of serving communities in 2019 as a privately held business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver's License (Class E required for all Missouri locations).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Non-CDL position.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive parts and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, including assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Abide by rules of the road and laws for safely operating a vehicle.
  • Determine the priority of deliveries including the most timely and efficient route, when not directed by a manager or counterperson.
  • Receive and process orders and other documents by reviewing for completeness and clarity before delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and well running delivery vehicle by performing routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Safely drive a vehicle in different weather and traffic conditions.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Check in freight, stock, and retrieve parts.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Help answer telephone and wait on customers.
  • Work store inventory/assist in other location’s inventory, if assigned.
  • Maintain a clean facility inside and outside, including sweeping, mopping, picking up trash, straightening and dusting shelves, and rearranging stock.
  • Adhere to scheduled work time unless authorized by a manager.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
