The Auto Mechanic is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, basic diagnostics, and repair support in a fast-paced shop environment. This Auto Mechanic role includes brake work, oil changes, and using diagnostic tools to identify issues. The ideal Auto Mechanic is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous automotive or lube technician experience preferred
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and digital scanners
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a shop or dealership environment
- Familiarity with basic diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of general vehicle maintenance practices
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
- Replace brake pads and assist with brake work
- Use digital scanners to run diagnostics and identify issues
- Reset dashboard warning lights after service completion
- Inspect vehicles and report additional maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
