About The Position

As an Automotive Tech in our high production mechanic shop, you will performing assigned diagnostic repair and maintenance on wholesale vehicles.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in automotive repair field.
  • Proficient in brake, tire and wheel, a/c, battery charge and check.
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Flush system contaminants, evacuate system, add oil and charge with freon. Run OEM performance tests and verify performance, utilize electrical schematics, identify, and correct related problems.
  • Diagnose brake problems, replace cylinders and calipers, perform failure analysis of components.
  • Perform full diagnostic, including in-depth analysis and corrections for electrical charging systems.
  • Perform failure analysis for premature or abuse on clutches. Diagnose and repair all systems and related problems.
  • Check and adjust coolant levels, antifreezes, visually inspect cooling systems for leaks, make minor repairs such as hose replacements, fan shrouds, fittings, pressure test, flush and refill systems.
  • Analyze starting/cranking systems to identify root cause. Diagnose and repair all systems and related problems.
  • Evaluate lighting system configuration and application. Diagnose, isolate, and repair difficult lighting system problems.
  • Inspect drive axles housing for leaks, perform diagnostics and major repairs as required.
  • Lubricate, perform diagnostics, fluid and filter changes, and major repairs on transmission and driveline as required.
  • Check and adjust oil level for all engines, identify unusual noises and oil leaks, diagnose and repair as required.
  • Diagnose all fuel system malfunctions, adjust fuel system components, repair and replace fuel system components including injectors, rails, lines and pumps.
  • Perform full fault code identification and service interval reset for preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair steering systems. Disassemble, diagnose and repair/replace steering gear boxes and steering racks.
  • Diagnose suspension noises and alignment concerns. Maintain, repair, and replace all chassis components.
  • Repair and replace tires, wheels and TPMS components including sensor programming. Properly diagnose and repair the cause of improper wear conditions.
  • Track and record vehicle information following department processes.
  • Assist in overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment.
  • Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
