This position is for an intermediate-level auto technician who will perform light duty work and improve their skills in a supportive environment. The role involves gaining familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices, performing various maintenance duties such as oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flushes, spark plug replacements, and vehicle inspections. It also includes battery testing, maintenance, replacement, and testing/repairing starting and charging electrical systems. The tech will perform repairs on tires, conduct safety inspections, and work on interior/exterior components. Diagnosing and repairing brake systems, steering, and suspension systems, as well as performing AC system evacuation and recharge, are also part of the job. Maintenance on equipment and utilizing approved vendors for parts are required. The role may also involve upfitting new vehicles with necessary equipment and ensuring compliance with regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, especially regarding cars, and a team player ready to provide excellent work.
