Auto Glass Specialist / Service Drive Greeter
About The Position
Dayton Andrews Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat is expanding its customer service and repair offerings with the launch of our Dayton Andrews Glass Specialist Program . We are seeking an experienced Glass Specialist to perform combined Greeter and Lot Porter duties in our service drive while actively identifying and managing opportunities for glass repair and replacement. Position Summary The Glass Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the service drive experience by greeting customers, maintaining an efficient vehicle flow, inspecting glass for damage, and assisting customers in arranging windshield repairs or replacements. This role combines hands-on customer interaction with technical and administrative responsibilities, including writing repair orders and coordinating insurance claims.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive service, glass repair, or related customer service role preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and insurance representatives
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Positive, professional attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon arrival and ensure prompt communication with service advisors.
- Move and park vehicles safely to keep the service drive clear and organized.
- Inspect windshields for chips, cracks, or damage during vehicle intake.
- Offer repair or replacement options to customers as a Dayton Andrews employee.
- Provide pricing on Mopar OEM glass and approved aftermarket glass options.
- Assist customers with initiating insurance claims for glass repair or replacement.
- Write repair orders (ROs) in the CDK system for glass services.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department for OEM glass availability and pricing.
- Schedule installation with Rite Touch Auto Glass after claim approval.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up on completed repairs.
