About The Position
As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will embark on a rewarding career path that combines hands-on training with classroom instruction. This position is designed for individuals who possess a natural mechanical ability and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You will be trained to install and repair auto glass, recalibrate automotive safety systems, and provide exceptional customer service that leaves a lasting impression. The role is not confined to a desk; instead, you will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, which adds an element of excitement and challenge to your daily tasks. The training program lasts for three months and is fully paid, allowing you to earn while you learn. During this time, you will gain the skills necessary to become a certified auto glass technician, which includes studying and passing tests to demonstrate your proficiency in installations. You will also learn to safely operate a company vehicle and utilize the tools provided throughout your workday. After completing your training, your pay will be evaluated every six months, ensuring that your outstanding performance is recognized and rewarded. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career quickly. Starting pay is competitive, beginning at $23.68 per hour and increasing to $27.11 per hour after training and certification. As you progress, you can earn up to $31.61 per hour as a Senior Technician and up to $33.73 per hour as a Master Technician, based on performance metrics that reflect your efficiency, quality of work, and customer satisfaction.
