Job Description Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. Depending on experience will consider applicants trainee thru senior appraiser level. Position is a field estimator position primarily for Westchester and Rockland County area so must reside in location allowing daily work in that area. This is a field-based, territory-specific opportunity supporting the Westchester and Rockland County, NY area. We are seeking a skilled Auto Field Appraiser who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong time management capabilities, hands-on experience with CCC One estimating software, and proven negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering a positive, customer-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses
• Demonstrates basic understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within authority limits
• Applies sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Builds functional relationships with both internal and external customers
