Position Summary The Auto Detailer is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing vehicles for display and delivery. This role ensures all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well independently, and maintains a high level of quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous detailing or automotive experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and detail vehicle interiors (carpet, upholstery, trim, and leather)
  • Clean and condition dashboards, consoles, vents, and other interior surfaces
  • Remove stains, odors, and minor cosmetic imperfections
  • Clean engine compartments when required
  • Inspect vehicles for damage or defects and report findings to management
  • Prepare vehicles for delivery, lot display, or customer pickup
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of detailing bay and equipment
  • Follow all dealership safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines
  • Assist with moving vehicles on lot as needed
