Auto Desk Appraiser - Claims Representative II
About The Position
Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for an Auto Desk Appraiser - Claims Representative II to join our Casualty Team. The ideal candidate will reside in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio or Kentucky. The Auto Desk Appraiser is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and/or preparing estimates for vehicle damages and reaching agreed upon repair pricing with body shops and other repair vendors. The appraisal of the vehicles will primarily be handled through digital photographs, repair shop documentation and other digital resources. Additionally, the right candidate will regularly communicate with claims adjusters, agents and customers as to inspection status and conclusions, the required repairs, negotiations and any other follow-up and problem resolution needed. The type of arrangement available is determined by the position and business needs Matching funds of up to $100 annually are available from the company for your favorite charitable organization Associate recognition awards, fun gatherings, and opportunities to make friends are part of our culture An on-site fitness center, as well as free and convenient parking, make life easier Requirements Qualifications and Responsibilities for the Auto Desk Appraiser - Claims Representative II: 3 years of prior automobile property damage estimating experience; prior body shop experience, a plus Proficiency in auto estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.); CCC One experience, preferred Familiarity with insurance claim processes and state regulations; IN, IL and/or OH jurisdiction experience, preferred Ability to estimate heavy duty trucks and farm equipment, is a plus I-CAR or ASE certification, preferred Demonstrating a professional, yet friendly demeanor when communicating with policyholders, claimants, and agents by phone, in writing, and in person Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record Bilingual, is a plus Why work for Indiana Farmers Insurance? Requirements
- 3 years of prior automobile property damage estimating experience
- Proficiency in auto estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.)
- Familiarity with insurance claim processes and state regulations
- Demonstrating a professional, yet friendly demeanor when communicating with policyholders, claimants, and agents by phone, in writing, and in person
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
Nice To Haves
