About The Position

The Gillman Companies is an established group of family owned automobile dealerships based out of Houston, TX. We have served the automotive needs of Texas since 1938 by maintaining a long-established tradition of excellence and customer satisfaction. We are a growing company and are looking for full time, talented title clerk to join our team! TITLE CLERK MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION: Process vehicle titles and registrations: Handle all paperwork for new and used vehicles, including title transfers, registration, and MSO's, ensuring accuracy and completeness for submission to DMV. Verify Ownership, Registration information and Lien Information: Confirm vehicle owenership, verify registration information and lienholder payoffs. Maintain Records and Inventory: Track all incoming titles and maintain outstanding title work for all sales, Leases, whoelsales and Dealer Trades. Compliance and Reporting: Stay current with Texas DMV regualtions, perform title audits. Out of State Titling and Registration: Handle all paperwork and correspondence with Out of State titling company to process title transfer and registration in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of accounting experience is required.
  • At least two years experience titling and registering automotives in Texas.
  • WebDealer and AIB Title Direct experience required.
  • Must be detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Competent with computers, spreadsheets, and a calculator; willing to learn onsite system.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license, will be required to make runs to DMV.
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include extensive criminal background check, MVR, and drug screening.
  • Motivated to go above and beyond the minimum standard.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Dealership accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with a high-volume dealership would be ideal.
