About The Position

As an Auto Damage Claims Adjuster at Progressive, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, overseeing the entire repair process from start to finish. This role involves managing your own inventory, negotiating repair pricing with body shops, and assessing liability. The position requires strong leadership, conflict management skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service, all while working independently in the field with a company car.

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience, OR an Associate's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience with one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair processes with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine the validity of any supplement requests.
