Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for an Auto Coater Operator on weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3:30am-4:00pm). Overtime is available as needed. Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area. Position Summary: To properly coat, pre-coat and varnish all types of resistors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Assumes the ability to operate machinery and equipment, read blueprints and interpret routine production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Determine correct wheels
• Paint or varnish and paint viscosity for type and style of part being coated
• Maintain SPC information for paint viscosity and oven temperature.
• During operation continually monitor pumps, coating heads, auto viscometers and oven temperature gauges to make certain they are operating correctly.
• 100% visual inspect parts for coating quality prior to release to next operation.
• Ensure proper date sequence on orders is maintained to assure timely delivery.
• When appropriate, selects orders to reduce wheel changes to enhance productivity.
• Learns the use of measuring equipment for the purpose of viscosity checks and dimensional checks on parts.
• Learns the set-up of auto viscometers.
• Responsible for coating quality and damage prevention to leads and wire.
• Conducts SPC charting.
• Rework when required.
