At Caliber, the Auto Body Technician plays a crucial role in restoring vehicles after accidents, ensuring quick, confident, and careful repairs. This position involves handling a full range of collision repairs, from minor fender benders to complex frame rebuilds, with a strong emphasis on precision, quality, and teamwork within a service center environment.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in auto body repair, specifically turning damaged vehicles into road-ready condition.
  • Proficiency in frame and structural repair, including pulling, straightening, and squaring components.
  • Possess a no-shortcuts mentality, committed to blueprinting and fixing repairs correctly the first time.
  • Demonstrate a sharp eye for detail, ensuring tightened bolts, perfected welds, and high-quality work.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Exhibit a team-first attitude, collaborating effectively with painters, estimators, and front office staff.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Blueprint and execute clean, precise repairs without guesswork or shortcuts.
  • Perform full collision repair, handling everything from fender benders to frame rebuilds.
  • Conduct panel and structural work, restoring bent, twisted, or torn parts to factory specifications.
  • Ensure quality reassembly, paying close attention to fit and finish.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to facilitate the movement of cars through the repair process.
  • Prioritize work location safety and tidiness.
