About The Position

The Auto Body Technician at Caliber Collision is responsible for repairing vehicles in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines. This role involves thorough disassembly, assessment of damage, and execution of a comprehensive repair plan to ensure vehicles are restored safely and profitably. Responsibilities

• Complete dis-assembly of vehicles to assist Service Advisors in assessing damage.
• Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedures by following work orders for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, and equipment to gain access to damaged areas of vehicles.
• Store parts properly to eliminate potential damage.
• Mend damaged body parts by hammering out dents and welding broken parts.
• Ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards and reassemble after parts are painted.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as welders and spray guns.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing over to the Paint Department.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Wash and prepare vehicles for customer return.
• Comply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
