About The Position
Abra Auto Body & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician Apprentice to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in the collision repair industry . We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade while working alongside experienced technicians. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service , and we are committed to helping new technicians develop the skills needed to succeed in the industry. You don’t need previous body shop experience to apply. We provide hands-on training and mentorship so you can learn the skills needed to become a professional Auto Body Technician. Candidates with automotive body repair schooling or technical training are preferred but not required. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and ready to build a long-term career. Previous experience in automotive, mechanical work, construction, or other hands-on trades is helpful but not required. As an Auto Body Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn collision repair skills and assist with vehicle repairs. Requirements
- Strong interest in the automotive collision repair industry
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Automotive body repair schooling or technical training preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with vehicle repairs according to estimates and manufacturer standards
- Help prepare vehicles for body repair work
- Learn panel replacement, body repair, and sheet metal straightening techniques
- Assist with inspecting parts and verifying repair estimates
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Help ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently
- Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete repairs
