Auto Body Shop Technician

About the position

Haley Certified Collision Center is seeking multiple body shop technicians and painters to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. We are part of Haley Automotive Group, Virginia's oldest automotive group, with a total of 11 stores across Richmond, Roanoke, and Farmville. Our collision center works with all vehicle models and insurance companies, providing services such as dent repair, major body work, windshield replacement, auto body painting, and paintless dent repair. We are looking for certified candidates, particularly those with iCAR certifications, to help us meet the growing demand in our service business.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the extent of damage to a vehicle's body after an accident or other incidents.
• Employ various techniques to repair damaged panels, including straightening, welding, and filling.
• Replace damaged or rusted panels with new ones.
• Remove rust and corrosion from vehicle bodies.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying filler.
• Apply paint and clear coat to vehicle bodies, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Polish and buff the vehicle to restore its shine.
• Customize vehicles by adding aftermarket parts or modifying existing ones.
• Work with car lights and windows.

Requirements

• Experience in auto body repair and painting.
• iCAR certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
