About The Position
Southern Auto Group is looking for a skilled, professional, experienced FASTLANE PAINTER to join our Collision Center team! This position is for an Automotive Painter with a proven history as an auto body painter, a valid driver's license, and the flexibility to travel to any of our twenty (20) locations as needed to perform work as assigned, with precision and attention to detail. The Body Shop Painter completes body shop painting for vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures. He/she delivers the highest quality body shop painting services while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Body Shop Painter must produce quality results on time or earlier and must have knowledge of specialty painting techniques and technologies. The ideal candidate has some post-secondary automotive training and at least two years of dealer-level or large facility experience. Candidates must have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good computer skills are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred
- Two years of relevant experience required

- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Responsibilities
- Performs work as assigned with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality following dealership, insurance company, and enterprise standards
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
