About The Position
The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Auto Adjuster to join our Claims team in Syracuse, NY. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. As an Auto Adjuster, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation, and resolution of claims in accordance with policy provisions, business expectations, and jurisdictional requirements. This role requires a thorough understanding of the claims process and the ability to guide insureds and claimants through their options effectively. In this position, you will be expected to secure and maintain the appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits. You will work within specific limits and authority on assignments of moderate technical complexity, using discretion and independent judgment in claim handling. Your responsibilities will include investigating, analyzing, evaluating, and negotiating claims of minimal to moderate complexity. You will manage all aspects of each claim, which may involve informal hearings, arbitrations, and small claims litigation, while maintaining a high level of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service. The Hanover Insurance Group has adopted a Hybrid work model, allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration and support within the team.
