About The Position

The Autistic Support Teacher will join an existing team to provide specialized support to students requiring autistic support programming. This role focuses on addressing the unique academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with autism, ensuring compliance with special education requirements, and fostering collaboration with parents and professionals.

Requirements

• Experience in ABA and/or training in behavior modification.
• Strong organizational skills and data collection management.
• Knowledge of differentiation and assistive technology.
• Current PA Special Education Certification.
• Experience with autism and formal education in the field.

• Strong consultative and collaborative skills.
• Working knowledge of community resources for post-secondary opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students requiring autistic support programming.
• Maintain compliance with special education paperwork and deadlines.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and a team of professionals.
• Organize and implement instructional programs for students needing support in academics, behavior, and interpersonal skills.
• Utilize assistive technology to support curriculum access.
• Conduct data collection management and assessment using VB Mapp.
• Provide direct instruction with curricular resources.
