About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an opportunity as an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Specialist to join a collaborative, multi-district team supporting diverse school communities across Yamhill, Polk, and Marion counties ! Position Overview: Conduct comprehensive student evaluations using specialized rating tools, observations, and interview-based methods to determine individual learning styles and needs. Provide educational teams with tailored resources, materials, and evidence-based strategies to address the unique learning and life needs of students on the spectrum. Deliver direct services to students as a means of modeling and instructing school staff on how to effectively implement specialized programs and behavioral interventions. Partner with families, teachers, and healthcare professionals to develop and integrate customized treatment plans that foster social, communication, and daily living skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) Special Education License
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Prior experience in behavioral interventions (such as ABA techniques) and the ability to conduct assessments for students across various age ranges
