About the position

Autism Society of North Carolina is currently hiring a full-time Program Lead who will provide operational and programmatic support for our group homes in the Asheville area. In addition to direct instruction, oversight and support, the Program Lead will assist with planning and facilitating various program functions. As a full-time Program Lead, you will develop monthly and annual calendars of on-site and community-based activities, make daily schedules and visual supports as well as other programmatic materials/structures. In addition, you end each day feeling rewarded seeing the people you serve make strides toward a more independent life!

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate group events
  • Coordinate volunteer activities and serve as liaison with volunteers and other program staff
  • Assist with transportation planning and provide it as needed
  • Provide training, oversight, support and feedback with relevant paraprofessionals serving the program
  • Provide direct support to program participants for no less than 75% of work hours

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year experience working effectively within an ASNC program, or similar demonstration of ability to effectively implement activities with individuals with autism
  • Ability to pass background check and driving record check
