About The Position

Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Autism Aide with the Giant Steps Preschool Program in Utah County. With a competitive wage of $17.33–$21.95/hour , you'll play an essential part in helping young learners develop skills that shape their future. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with young children
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and adapt to changing needs
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check.
  • After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
  • Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support individualized learning plans and assist with classroom instruction
  • Encourage social, communication, and behavioral skill development
  • Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment
  • Assist students with daily routines and transitions
  • Work closely with teachers and clinical staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
