Homecare Homebase is searching for a Home Health and Hospice Authorization Specialist who will be responsible for complete and accurate oversite of the HCHB authorization process and case management. As a Home Health and Hospice Authorization Specialist, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate obtainment of authorization and recertification needs for our customers so that they can focus their time and energy on delivering high quality patient care. You will be responsible for: Oversight of the insurance authorization process regarding case management and patient pathways. To include timely and complete processing of eligibility and benefit verification, initial and ongoing authorization requests following set guidelines and accurate entry of related information in designated software system. Review and build effective communication bridges with HCHB RCS clients at both the central and branch agency level to assist or explain exceptions. Perform routine review of appropriate workflows and redirect workflows as needed. Demonstrate ability to solve problems independently and at an optimal level. Coordinate communication with clients contracting and clinical departments on payor related issues as appropriate. Follow written and verbal communications.
