About The Position
Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an AUTHORIZATION SPECIALIST - ONCOLOGY HEMATOLOGY to join our PATIENT ACCESS-REGISTRATION team! The Authorization Specialist is critical to ensure accurate prior and ongoing authorizations. This position collects demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients to ensure that all reimbursement requirements are met. Coordination and communication with the patient, clinical team including physicians, nurse practitioners, patient navigator, pharmacy staff, and patient financial services is key for successful financial analysis and clearance.
