Job Description: The Authorization Specialist (RCM SME - Trainer) will be responsible for leading and supporting RCM training initiatives, with a focus on Oncology Authorization processes. This includes developing, updating, and delivering training materials, and working closely with team members to ensure consistent understanding and application of best practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle Management operations, preferably in Oncology Authorization.
  • 3-5 years of prior Authorization experience required.
  • Medical insurance background required.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual training.
  • Ability to design and develop clear, effective training materials and documentation.
  • Ability to assess learning needs and adapt training approaches accordingly.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in adult learning principles and instructional design is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate training sessions for new and existing staff on Oncology Authorization processes and RCM best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to create, update, and maintain training documents, manuals, and reference guides.
  • Assess training needs and provide ongoing education to ensure compliance with payer guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Serve as a resource for staff questions related to authorization and RCM processes.
  • Monitor effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure all training materials are current and aligned with regulatory requirements and OneOncology policies.
  • Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
