About The Position

We are seeking an Authorization Coordinator to join our Business Operations team in Harrisburg, PA. Location: Remote (Open to Candidates Residing in PA, DE, FL, LA, MD, NJ, OH, TX, VA) Position Details Performs all functions associated with the entire registration process of consumers, financial set-up of consumers insurance, consumer eligibility checking and all authorization related functions.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required - Associate Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 2-3 years of clerical and insurance experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and understands all Merakey Corporate and Business Operations policies, standards and procedures.
  • Proactively identifies, analyzes and resolves issues to facilitate the efficient and timely entry of authorizations, consumer registration and consumer eligibility checking.
  • Regularly communicates with management, staff and all other stakeholders with relevant information, feedback and issues relating to their respective programs and processes.
  • Initially and on-going, the ability to be part of project teams, along with taking the lead role on various initiatives.
  • Handles all aspects of entering authorizations into the core billing system, within established time-frames for all programs.
  • Performs quality control verification on all authorizations entered.
  • Performs all aspects of eligibility verification checking and associated functional tasks.
  • Inputs all registrations within the core billing system, according to various program standard timelines.
  • Performs all aspects of consumer registration into the core billing system related to demographics, consumer financial information, etc.
  • Facilitates and coordinates all processes relating to both receipt and distribution of documents, reports, etc. from programs and sites to the Central Business Office relating to Authorizations, Financial Set-up, registration and eligibility checking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
