About The Position

The Auditor Supervisor position at the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing in Colorado is responsible for leading a team of auditors, overseeing audit processes, and ensuring compliance with established audit plans. Requirements

• Eight years of professional experience in Accounting, Project Management, Planning/Implementation, or Auditing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields plus four years of relevant experience.
• Current valid CPA or CIA certification can substitute for five years of experience.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 professional auditors, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Establish and approve formal audit plans for assigned programs.
• Conduct opening conferences and complete audits for programs including the Primary Care Fund and Hospital Discounted Care law.
• Monitor and schedule audits/reviews to ensure performance deadlines are met.
• Develop formal audit findings and recommendations and communicate them to audited providers and entities.
